Vision The Netherlands and Europe have expressed their dedication to a 50% circular economy by the year 2030. A circular economy is an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. Circular systems are close-loop systems. In circular systems reuse, sharing, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling are key. Thus minimising the use of resource inputs and the creation of waste, pollution and carbon emissions.
The circular economy aims to keep products, equipment and infrastructure in use for longer, in that way improving the productivity of these resources. 'Waste' should become 'food' for another process: either a by-product or recovered resource for another industrial process, or as regenerative resources for nature, e.g. compost.
The Circular Champion programme will make your organization one of the circular champions in your sector. The international standard for Circular Economy - which is being set up as we speak - will be our guiding framework. Join our program today.
