Circular Champions Programme The Circular Champion program 2020 - 2025 consists of three tracks:
Collective track Experts in their fields present the latest developments and insights regarding circularity. We will explore the topic through 4 workshops: the urgency, circular business models, circular design & end of life strategies and measuring circularity. The focus in the workshops is on sharing the experiences and challenges participants encounter in their own organization.
Learning by doing in the value chain The participants will explore the possibilities of a step by step implementation of circular products and services. The objective is to implement at least one pilot project in the value chain of the organization during the first year. The participation of crucial stakeholders (both suppliers and business to business customers) will lead to a multiplier effect which will benefit the entire value chain. Of course the principles of ISO 20400 the international standard for sustainable procurement, will be applied to integrate circular business practices with the organization’s stakeholders (both upstream and downstream). ISO 26000, the international standard providing guidance on integrating social responsibility into a company or organization, will offer the overall strategic framework.
Implementation In this track the focus is on arranging and securing the circular business practices within the organization itself. The objective is to prepare the organization to contribute to the transition towards a circular economy in The Netherlands c.q. abroad. This means the emphasis will be on the organization’s internal structures and the way circularity will be implemented in the organization’s daily routine (maturity).
